At last, you say...we can finally bring you Fruity Dots – the playful wall-mounted sculptures bring a splash of colour, humour, and texture to any space.  Crafted from our food repurposed 44-gallon drums, these semi-spherical beauties bring a graphical cheer! Launched late last year at Sculpture in the Gardens we saw customers on opening night cradling large numbers of Fruity Dots as they walked (no ran!) to the sales counter!

These are intended for indoor use, however if you were keen to create an outdoor installation then we recommend our clear coat service here. Each artwork would need its own clear-coating. So if you bought 3 fruity dots, you’d need to add 3 of our clearcoat service to your cart.

• For the vast majority of our artworks we utilise the original colours of the drums! Who knew they came in so many colours?
• Fixing: METcALfe designed backing with adjustable sawtooth fixing for immediate hanging.

FAQs

How do I hang Fruity Dots?

Worry not! We have taken the stress out of hanging our sculptures by designing and welding into the back of the sculpture our very own designed sawtooth. This means you can hang your FruityDots at a multitude of angles.

Can Fruity Dots be used outdoors?

Fruity Dots are intended for indoor use. However, they can with a clear coat be displayed outside. We offer a clear coat service here, or alternatively you can purchase a can of satin clear coat from your local DIY store. We suggest 2 coats back and front.

What material are Fruity Dots made from?

Each sculpture is made from food-grade (think juices, sauces, pulps and honey) 44-gallon drums. The bright yellow drums are NZ Honey drums and the bright green ones come from a well-known chutney maker and have had apple juice in them.

Yes! We all need some help to realise our vision and so with that in mind we offer an hourly rate design service for installation proposals/drawings.
